I’ll be posting a series of photographs with a narrative, reflection of poetry. It may or may not reflect on my current mood. I’m doing this to raise awareness of mental health issues and to support anyone who is struggling with mental illness.
My project, called Photapia, consists in the use of photographs as a therapeutic tool; a means for expressing feelings, thoughts and emotions.
You are welcome to take part in this project, you do not need to be a professional photographer. The only rules are to be respectful, supportive and willing to share vulnerability.
Brené Brown talks of vulnerability as “the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change. Vulnerability is NOT weakness.” Mental health is serious and more has to be done to support people who are suffering in silence.
Feel free to join the community, participate and share.
