Depression is like being stuck in a cave, prisoner to your own vulnerability
yet, the cave feels warm… but cold.
Sometimes there’s light coming through a small crack in the securely locked door, and other times it’s dark and quiet.
Light is frightening, full of opportunities, risks which makes it what it is.
Depression is like your feet are frozen, stuck to the ground; your body feels heavy with resignation.
Depression isn’t just a feeling, it’s a part of you.
That part that doesn’t believe in you. That part that lets you down.
Depression is that part that lies to you, telling you you can’t.
